The SHKR Club partnered up with the tourism board of Reno Tahoe, and together we brought a group of real ones, people who support SHKR Club, follow the work, show up, and aren’t afraid to push their creative edge.
I walked away with a completely different mindset and a reassurance as to the fact that i was on the right path with this whole thing. Let me break it down:
WE GOT DUSTY (AND COMPETITIVE)
We kicked it off in the desert on ATVs. No script. No fake moments. Just speed, sand, and stories forming as we ripped through trails with our cameras rolling. And then came the tallest climbing wall in the world. Yes, the actual tallest. Finished the day with dinner and games. I was wrecked - but so hyped for what was next.
Also: 3 AM call time. You already know.
HOT AIR BALLOONS & SUNRISE DIVES
Imagine floating over Lake Tahoe in a hot air balloon, taking off from a boat while the sun slowly rises casting a soft gold glow on the Tahoe mountains around the lake.
That happened.
We celebrated with a dive into the lake right after.

"Probably the craziest aerial experience I’ve had. And I’ve shot a lot of things from the air."
Coming back to Tahoe, where I used to drive up from San Francisco (7 plus years ago) alone just to shoot, felt completely different this time. I wasn’t solo. I was surrounded by a crew of creators who genuinely support what we’re building. It gave me a moment to pause, reflect, and really take in how far things have come. None of it would’ve happened without you.
Cinematic Diner Shoot + Real Talks
I planned the whole trip with Morgan, one of my favorite creators, a solid friend, and a filmmaker I trust. So it only made sense to close things out with something we both know inside out: a proper cinematic shoot. Vintage diner. A model. Lights. Full vibe.
What I didn’t expect was what happened after the shoot.

We just sat and talked, about what’s been driving us lately, what we’re working toward, and why we even do this in the first place.
That kind of conversation doesn’t happen online the same way. Being in the same room shifted everything. Creator Camp wasn’t just about getting cool content, it was about slowing down, connecting, and actually hearing each other.
The Final Showdown: Talent Show & Awards
Reno also decided to invite a few other makers and their audiences to share this experience with them. While we were having our experiences all acorss the stunning region they were also doing the same. Reno Tahoe put up a few awards for the best imagery and visuals captured over the course of the long weekend and my compeitrtive nature couldn’t help but try and see if the boys (my team) could walk away with almost every single prize. so this morning was a bit of a nervous one for me.
We started off with a panel and Q&A, and then the awards kicked off and NGL we cleansed up. Every single member of Morgan and I’s squad took something home
